Meeting in Agaete, Gran Canaria
Saturday 11 January 2020 Parkinson in Agaete.
A meeting for people with Parkinson’s and their families was held on Saturday 11 January 2020 in Agaete organized by the associations PEPITA – Plataforma de enfermo de Parkinson temprano y Amigos (Gran Canaria and Tenerife), Fuerte es la Vida, Parkinson No Limits (Fuerteventura) and Parkinson Las Palma siglo XXII (Gran Canaria)
Two workshops were proposed by the Fuerte es La Vida Association, Parkinson No Limits:
- Psychomotor skills, by Francesca De Bartolomeis, and Qi Gong, by Sabine Tukovits Fischer. These two workshops were supposed to take place on the beach, but the low temperature and the clouds made it impossible. The sports facility that the Department of Sport of the city of Agaete had granted for the meeting and for the other workshops scheduled for the day was used.

The meeting, which was attended by many Canarian families, ended with a lunch with music and karaoke.
The three associations thank all the people who participated in this meeting, full of useful experiences and teachings that, subsequently, people with Parkinson’s and their families can continue to practice at home, thus obtaining benefits in their daily journey.
In the spring of the year that has just begun, we will welcome the entire human and professional team that makes up the Gran Familia del Parkinson in the Canary Islands in Fuerteventura.
