Meeting and vacation to Fuerteventura 28/09/2020 – 04/10/2020
Fuerteventura, a magical island, where it is always spring, will welcome the meeting of Unidos contra el Parkinson from September 28 to October 4, 2020. This meeting usually takes place every two years, and sharing between people with Parkinson’s, their family members and therapists is aimed. It is an opportunity to meet friends, meet new people, compare, experiment, get involved.
This year, the collaboration with the Fuerte Es La Vida Parkinson No Limits association also offers the opportunity to enjoy a holiday between sun, beach (spring temperatures allow bathing and outdoor life all year round), nature, culture, excursions by sea and by land, well-being, good food and lots and lots of fun.
The Holiday and Meeting week is open to all people with Parkinson’s disease, their families and friends. It doesn’t matter which association you are a member of, if you are not a member of any association, which country you come from. The meeting is open to all.
Each will be able to make his contribution thanks to his presence, thanks to sharing his story and his experience (if he wants to do it), thanks to listening to the other and being excited.
We will be able to experience breathing in the open air in a healthy environment, where the sun and the ocean will reactivate the immune system of each of us and stimulate the production of dopamine, serotonin and melatonin.
We will relax our body in the rays of the sun which will warm up the muscles helping it to melt under the guidance of Sabine (homeopath, expert in QiGong and Shiatsu) and allowing us to move more fluidly on the notes of engaging music also played live, accompanied by Francesca (daughter of a person with Parkinson, psychomotricist and dance expert) and Massi (president of AIGP, the Italian Young Parkinsonian association, dance and yoga expert of laughter), pampered and reinvigorated by the colors that together with Ely (international artist and art therapist) we will use to give life to our emotions.
Precious trips will allow us to visit historical places and magical places of Fuerteventura, rich in history, art, local traditions, perfumes and flavors. And we can also look at the island from a wonderful perspective: from the ocean. The zoologist Alvaro will accompany us on the crystal clear waters aboard a comfortable boat and we will be able to enjoy the encounter with the inhabitants of the ocean: dolphins, whales, flying fish, turtles. Berte, seagulls, and other magnificent birds will make us want to fly in an ocean of emotions and together with Francesca and Ely it will be Ocean’s Emotion Experience!
An enchanting Resort will welcome us in its comfortable and bright rooms, protected behind the lava mountains and overlooking a luxuriant flower garden or the ocean. The food prepared by its chefs with local products and truly organic fruit and vegetables grown in the vegetable garden of the Resort itself, will meet all food needs and will be a real journey of culinary pleasure, as well as of excellent quality. Excellent food to be enjoyed in excellent company on the outdoor terrace or in the large room both overlooking the ocean.
The sporting facilities of the Resort, its heated swimming pools, the conference room, its Ping Pong tables, the Spa, the beach and the calm waters of the Ocean lapping on the shore, will make this stay even more pleasant and precious.
In addition, the Resort is connected by a wide and comfortable walk on the ocean to one of the oldest and most authentic fishing villages: Las Playitas. With its white and blue houses that stand out on the black lava rock and on the volcanic sand beach, it embellishes the crystallinity of the waters of its marina, where the small colorful boats of the local fishermen rest. It is not uncommon to see turtles and stingrays swimming with several small fish.
