FuerteVida Parkinson No Limits Association welcomes vocational, undergraduate and postgraduate students who wish to apply their academic knowledge and deepen their skills in rehabilitation, wellbeing, and support for people with Parkinson’s disease and their families.

WHAT WE OFFER

During the internship, students:

  • gain hands-on experience in a therapeutic, social and multicultural setting;
  • collaborate with a qualified multidisciplinary team;
  • develop specific professional skills and greater awareness of their career path;
  • take part in innovative local, national and, when possible, international projects.

WHO CAN APPLY

The internship is open to students in:

  • medical and health sciences
  • rehabilitation
  • sport sciences and adapted physical activity
  • education and pedagogy
  • nursing
  • pharmacy
  • psychology
  • management, human resources and social fields
  • scientific or social research

The main location is Fuerteventura, with the possibility of complementary activities in other Canary Islands or in Europe.

DURATION AND STRUCTURE

  • The duration and schedule are customised according to the needs of the association and the educational institution.
  • A portion of the internship may be completed online, if compatible with the learning objectives.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Enrollment in a vocational programme, university degree or master’s programme that includes a curricular internship.
  • Interest in the health, educational or social fields.
  • Commitment to values such as inclusion, equality, respect, solidarity and human dignity.
  • Sufficient knowledge of Spanish to communicate with service users and families; English is considered an asset.

FAQ

1. Is a training agreement required?
Yes. Curricular internships require a training agreement and learning plan signed by the educational institution and the association. We regularly collaborate with European institutions within Erasmus projects.

2. Are there any participation fees?
No. The internship is free of charge. Travel, accommodation and living expenses are covered by the student or the Erasmus programme.

3. Can part of the internship be completed online?
Yes, if the nature of the activity allows it and upon prior agreement with the association’s tutor.

4. Are specific skills required?
Students must submit their academic curriculum issued by their training institution. Motivation, interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team are essential. Any technical skills will be valued.
