Foro Premios Afectivo Efectivo

June 14, 2022 was an exciting and important day for our Association.

In fact, the award ceremony of the VIII Foro Premios Afectivo Efectivo organized by Janssen pharmaceutical companies of Johnson in Johnson in collaboration with Catedras en Red took place in Madrid.

“The AE model (Effective Affective Model) is the form of caring for and treating the patient as a person, based on scientific evidence, incorporating the dimension of the patient’s dignity and humanity, establishing an attention based on trust and empathy , and contributing to his well-being and the best possible health outcomes.”

“The Foro Premios Afectivo Efectivo was created with the intention of constituting a space for meeting and exchange, with which to promote and achieve the AE Model itself better and better.”

“The competition promoted by the Foro Premios AE rewards new initiatives centered on patients and, at the same time, making known and becoming aware of everything that the various health professionals are doing in the various fields, not always with the speaker (the visibility public) which, due to their high quality, they deserve.”

The awarded projects represent “a transformation of health that must be human, innovative and sustainable, in order to successfully face the global challenges we face, included in the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda, and which promotes a development that balances social sustainability , economic and environmental.”

This year 652 projects carried out in 2021 on Spanish territory were presented for selection.

Of these, 410 were accepted to be evaluated by the jurors, headed by Dolores Navarro, director of the Patient Participation and Training area, expert in maternal and child public health, planning and evaluation, participation and patient rights.

The Foro Premios Afectivo Efectivo has selected us as finalists in the category “Awareness-raising and/or prevention and/or intervention initiatives carried out by patient associations and NGOs in the health sector”, giving us an important recognition at both national and international level for the work we did in 2021 and in particular for the project presented: Viva la Vida.

110 projects entered this category and the jury chose three finalists:

• Spanish CF Federation
• Spanish Association Against Cancer
• Fuerte es la Vida Parkinson No Limits Association

Our project carried out as part of our therapeutic and wellness holidays program in Fuerteventura for people with Parkinson’s and their families from all over the world to live not just a holiday, but a holistic experience in the midst of nature, in total and real synergy with it, together with me and precious colleagues.

 Our team offers numerous therapeutic, complementary and wellness activities, with a holistic and transdisciplinary approach, supervised by the psychomotor and neurologist, according to the Parkinson No Limits Method.

People with Parkinson’s and their families are the absolute protagonists: supporting and amplifying their health potential and their quality of life are the basis of our mission.

The project presented and awarded, Viva la Vida, took place during 2021 and featured families from: Norway, Germany, Spain, Italy, Georgia, Florida and Israel.

The psychomotricist Francesca De Bartolomeis and coordinator of the Association’s consultants, kept the ranks of the proposed activities, living all the experiences together with the participants and accompanying them in their getting involved not only from a motor point of view, but also from an emotional and psychological point of view.

Specifically, the activities proposed in the Viva la Vida project had the same therapeutic setting: the Ocean of Fuerteventura and its inhabitants (fish, cetaceans,birds,..).

In this precious and unusual therapeutic setting, people have experienced three innovative complementary therapies introduced by us in the world of Parkinson’s: Art therapy in the water, Surf and Ocean’s Emotions Experience.

The biggest THANKS goes to those who got involved and rode their Wave of Change with us including Cathy, Peter, Morten, Rune, Rick, Alejandro, Anat, Adass, Gitte, Alex, Daniella, …

And a special thank you goes to the man who gave life to our association, to the Parkinson No Limits Method, and to all our projects.

 Romolo De Bartolomeis, a great little man, who, in his immense simplicity, made of love and respect for the Family, for Nature, for Life, took over his life and despite Parkinson’s, partly thanks to Parkinson, made it shine.

Now this shining light supports us in daily putting into practice all that we have lived and learned together with him, to share it with other people and, hand in hand, face this wonderful journey that is Life itself.
