Parkinson No Limits

Terms of Participation for Therapeutic Programs

Welcome to the Terms of Participation page of the Parkinson No Limits association. By confirming your participation in our “Therapeutic Holidays,” you agree to the following terms. These conditions are designed to ensure the utmost safety of our participants, the transparency of our processes, and the financial sustainability of our non-profit association.

1. Nature of the Programs

Parkinson No Limits is a registered non-profit organization. Our programs, known as “Therapeutic Holidays,” are not commercial holiday packages, but rather comprehensive experiences of support, rehabilitation, and well-being specifically designed for people with Parkinson’s disease and their families. Every financial contribution requested goes entirely toward covering fixed costs, the team of professionals (neurologists, physiotherapists, support staff), and adapted logistics.

2. Booking Process and Financial Contributions

Because every patient has unique needs, we do not conduct automated sales through our website. The formal process is as follows:

  • Initial Assessment: After the first contact, we conduct an evaluation to design a tailored program.

  • Proposal and Confirmation: We will send you a detailed proposal along with the corresponding participation fee.

  • Payment: The program reservation is only considered final and confirmed upon receipt of the bank transfer confirmation.

  • Bank Reference: To comply with tax and transparency regulations for associations, it is mandatory to include the following reference/concept in your bank transfer: “Therapeutic program contribution [Participant’s Full Name]”.

3. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Our association incurs non-recoverable fixed costs from the moment a program is confirmed (securing professionals, booking adapted facilities in Fuerteventura, preparing materials). Therefore, if a participant needs to cancel, the following deductions will be applied to the total contribution:

  • Cancellation more than 30 days before the start of the program: 80% of the contribution will be refunded (the remaining 20% is retained to cover administration and planning costs already incurred).

  • Cancellation between 29 and 15 days before the start: 50% of the contribution will be refunded.

  • Cancellation less than 15 days in advance (or no-show): No refund will be issued, as human and technical resources will have already been fully mobilized for your stay.

(Note: As an empathetic association, in cases of force majeure due to a severe and unforeseen medical deterioration, documented by an official medical certificate, the board of directors will evaluate the situation on a case-by-case basis to find the fairest solution).

4. Health, Safety, and Medical Disclaimer

The health of our participants is our absolute priority. To ensure a safe environment, we establish that:

  • Fitness to Travel: The participant (or their legal guardian) declares under their own responsibility that their physical and medical condition allows them to travel and participate in the proposed activities, and that they have consulted their medical specialist prior to traveling.

  • Not a Medical Substitute: Our team offers therapeutic support, well-being, and rehabilitation, but this program does not replace primary medical treatments, nor are we an intensive care or hospital facility. Participants must bring their prescribed medication and manage it independently or with the help of their companion.

  • Civil Liability Insurance: All activities directly organized by Parkinson No Limits are covered by our Civil Liability insurance policy.

  • Travel Insurance: We strongly recommend that all participants purchase private travel insurance covering medical expenses for common illnesses, repatriation, and flight cancellations.

5. Program Modifications

To ensure safety and maximize therapeutic benefits, Parkinson No Limits reserves the right to modify the schedule or planned activities (e.g., due to adverse weather conditions or the clinical needs of the group). Any changes will be made aiming to provide an alternative of equal or greater therapeutic value.

6. Acceptance of Terms

The payment of the financial contribution via bank transfer implies the full reading, understanding, and acceptance of these Terms of Participation.
