The Fuertevida Parkinson No Limits association renews its local commitment to the community with Project Parkinson No Limits, a vital initiative supported by the Area de Políticas Sociales of the Cabildo.
Beneficiaries in Our Community The program is aimed at 120 direct beneficiaries and approximately 240 family members (involving a total of 360 people). We embrace total inclusion, assisting individuals with Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, ALS, autism, Down syndrome, as well as families, women, and individuals at risk of social exclusion in Fuerteventura.
Holistic Activities Under the careful guidance of an art expert and creator of the Método Itrazos, and a psychomotor therapist who developed the Método Parkinson No Limits, we offer weekly activities (both in-person and online) covering various areas:
- Expression and Creativity: Water painting, drawing, music, and photography workshops.
- Body and Mind: Psychomotor activities, dance, meditation, and relaxing sound baths.
- Daily Well-being: Healthy cooking (including pizza making) and earth-contact activities, such as tending to a vegetable garden.
A Majorero Solidarity Network To ensure maximum socialization and widespread inclusion across the territory, we work closely with different organizations in Fuerteventura. We are proud to network with:
- Asomasamen (Majorera Association for Mental Health).
- Adivia (Association of People with Visual, Auditory, Physical, and Psychic Disabilities).
- Innsurf, Senderos Sin Barreras, Fuerte Trail Fuerteventura, and Siel, to promote inclusion through sports.
- Asociación Social Compartiendo Metas – ACM.
- Senior Centers (Centros de Mayores) in Puerto del Rosario, Antigua, La Lajita, and Pájara.
- Neighborhood Associations (Asociaciones Vecinales).
- Cultural Center of Caleta de Fuste.
