Then this training course is perfect for you!
The course focuses on what functional diversity is, especially Parkinson’s, what support for people with functional diversity may involve and how to provide it, how to collaborate within a group, and how to support both your own health potential and that of others.
This will enable participants to make better use of their leisure time as a key element in personal development, education, and awareness of values such as tolerance, respect, solidarity, non-discrimination, and social inclusion of people with disabilities. In this way, active participation and autonomy among young people are encouraged.
Planned:
- a series of theoretical training sessions (in person and/or online), with a total duration of 8 hours, covering the following topics:
- Identity, health potential, and human potential;
- Observation of the surrounding reality: local and global natural environment, local and global social environment, local and global cultural and transcultural environment;
- Functional diversity: what it is, how it affects daily life, families, and social/environmental relationships;
- What stigma is;
- Empathy and the defense of basic human rights universally recognized as fundamental for building an inclusive, tolerant, and peaceful world where human dignity is respected;
- Understanding the volunteer profile of the FuerteVida Parkinson No Limits Association;
- Development of social and intercultural skills;
- Communication techniques;
- Self-care and well-being of volunteers in their daily life and volunteer activity;
- Vulnerability: what it is and how it affects us;
- Techniques for assisting people with reduced mobility;
- Understanding the Association, its users, and their needs;
- Developing empathetic and inclusive skills, effective communication, and the ability to share ideas, projects, energy, and resources.
- a series of practical in-person sessions with a total duration of 7 hours:
- Development of communication techniques;
- Development of observation techniques;
- Application of knowledge acquired during theoretical training;
- Development of empathetic and inclusive skills, effective communication, and the ability to share ideas, projects, energy, and resources.
After receiving registration requests, a prior interview will be conducted with each participant (online or in person) to assess their motivation and individual skills, with the aim of optimizing and personalizing the training offer. Following this interview, if the candidate is deemed suitable, we will proceed with completing their registration.
The theoretical-practical course will be delivered by:
Dr. Francesca De Bartolomeis, Association coordinator, Psychomotricist expert in Parkinson’s and functional diversity, active body mediation techniques (theatre, dance, visual arts, bioenergetics), relaxation and meditation techniques, equine therapy, aquatic motor skills, and trainer in various courses.
Dr. Elena Berti, clinical psychotherapist and researcher, Mindfulness instructor for the MBSR stress reduction protocol and Compassion Focused Therapist, former classical ballet dancer at La Scala Theatre in Milan and creator of the Soft Pilates method.
Users, therapists, and instructors from the Association will also participate in the practical activities.

October 12th from 10:00 to 15:00 (practice) in Puerto del Rosario or Tetir
