Parkinson No Limit

Parkinson’s No Limits Methodology

Specific methodology based on the PERSON’S HEALTH POTENTIAL, with a holistic transdisciplinary approach that combines and integrates classical therapies with complementary therapies and personalized activities carried out for educational, therapeutic, sports, social, and regenerative purposes.

Everything is designed and coordinated by our Psychomotricist, an expert in the connection between body and mind, under the supervision of a Neurologist and a Psychotherapist specialized in Parkinson’s disease.

Therapeutic experiences are personalized and carried out individually and/or in groups.

The THERAPEUTIC ENVIRONMENT is just as important as the activity itself, and we have chosen the NATURE of the island of Fuerteventura: a year-round spring-like climate, unspoiled nature, fresh and unpolluted air, open spaces, and a complete absence of traffic and stress.

We work in synergy with its volcanoes, deserts, beaches, oases of vegetation, and ocean.

During the Covid-19 pandemic phase, our methodology and environment allowed us to immediately resume individual and group therapeutic activities, supporting and strengthening the immune system of people with Parkinson’s and their families, and significantly reducing the depressive state that dangerously increased during lockdown.

Therapeutic Program in Nature

The Therapeutic Program in Nature is an innovative program designed by Parkinson No Limits for people with Parkinson’s and their families.

Based on the Parkinson No Limits Method, it uses a highly valuable therapeutic setting: nature.

And especially the nature of Fuerteventura, in the Canary Islands. Due to its unique characteristics, the island has been declared a Biosphere Reserve.

The holistic transdisciplinary approach is based on the essential health potential of the person and their relational and social environment.

The natural environment is selected according to precise criteria that take multiple factors into account.

The person with Parkinson’s disease and their family play a central role in the care process and are the focus of the transdisciplinary team.

All the needs of the family and relational members (including friends, colleagues, and all those with whom the person with Parkinson’s maintains meaningful relationships) can be part of the therapeutic, educational, supportive, experiential, and integrative process implemented by the association and its advisors.

This process is part of the personalization of the therapeutic and well-being pathway.

The Parkinson No Limits Method has been consolidated over time thanks to:

  • professionalism
  • personal experience
  • many years of professional experience
  • the results achieved
  • research
  • continuous training
  • benchmarking with global excellence (experts, clinical, educational, rehabilitation, research, and Parkinson-specific organizations)

To carry out the Nature Therapeutic Program, the Association relies on a team of professionals specialized in Parkinson’s, led by a psychomotricist, a psychotherapist, and a neurologist.

Continuous Parkinson-specific training at an international level further guarantees the quality of the work. The strong capacity to compare with global realities ensures a highly positive and constructive balance between tradition and innovation.

Additionally, it offers the opportunity to become an active and integral part of a life process, therapy, growth, and evolution, fully aligned with one’s own health potential to face, process, and overcome difficulties and challenges, transforming them into opportunities to experience and grow.
