Parkinson No Limits Methodology

Specific methodology based on the HEALTH POTENTIAL of the PERSON, with a holistic transdisciplinary approach in which classic therapies are combined and integrated with complementary therapies and personalized activities carried out with an educational, therapeutic, sporting, socializing and invigorating purpose.

Everything will be coordinated and structured by our psychomotrician who is an expert in the connection between the body and psyche, with supervision by a specialized neurologist and psychotherapist.

The therapeutic experiences are personalized and carried out individually and/or in groups.

The THERAPEUTIC SETTING is just as important as the activity, and we chose the NATURE of the island of Fuerteventura: a constant spring climate all year round, untouched nature, unpolluted fresh air, open spaces and zero traffic.

Our work is carried out in synergy with its volcanoes, deserts, beaches, oasis of vegetation and the ocean.

Durante la fase pandémica de Covid 19, nuestra metodología y entorno nos permitieron reanudar inmediatamente la actividad terapéutica individual y de grupo, apoyando y reforzando el sistema inmunitario de las personas con Parkinson y sus familias, y reduciendo significativamente el estado depresivo peligrosamente incrementado durante el bloqueo.

Therapeutic program in nature.

The therapeutic program in nature is the innovative program created by Parkinson No Limits and aimed at people with Parkinson’s and their families.

Based on the Parkinson No Limits Method, it uses a therapeutic setting of great value: nature.

And especially the nature of Fuerteventura, Canary Island. Due to its unique characteristics, the island has been declared a Biosphere Reserve.

The holistic transdisciplinary approach is based on the essential health potential of the person and his relational and social surroundings.

The naturalistic setting is chosen according to specific criteria that take many factors into consideration.

The person with Parkinson’s and their family play a central role in the treatment process and are the fulcrum of the transdisciplinary team of the Association itself.

All the needs of the members of the family and relationships (including friends, workmates, all those with whom the person with Parkinson’s has significant relationships) can enter into the therapeutic, educational, supportive, experiential and integrative process.

This process is part of the personalization of the therapeutic and wellness path.

In carrying out the Nature Therapeutic Program, the Association makes use of a team of professionals specialized in Parkinson’s, led by a psychomotrician, a psychotherapist and a neurologist.

Parkinson’s-specific continuing education, conducted internationally, further ensures the quality of the work. In fact, the high capacity for comparison with global realities guarantees a highly positive and constructive balance between tradition and innovation.

Furthermore, it offers the possibility of being an integral part and protagonist of a life, therapy, growth and evolution process totally in synergy with one’s health potential to face, re-elaborate and overcome difficulties and problems, transforming them into opportunities to be seized and to live.
