Parkinson No Limit

The project “NATURE FOR EVERYONE”, launched in 2023, is an initiative focused on enhancing the physical and emotional well-being of people living on the island of Fuerteventura, while promoting inclusion and integration within the local community.

The project is based on the idea that nature and creativity can be powerful allies on the path toward psychophysical well-being and improved quality of life. Through carefully designed experiences carried out in natural and cultural spaces across the island, participants have the opportunity to disconnect from daily stress and reconnect with themselves and their environment in a meaningful way.

Each planned activity has been structured to address specific aspects of each person’s mental and physical health, while promoting socialization and inclusion. It is recognized that each individual is unique and that their needs and desires may vary, which is why a variety of options have been created to accommodate a wide range of interests and mobility levels.

In short, the project “NATURE FOR EVERYONE” aims to enrich the lives of the residents of Fuerteventura through a series of meaningful and restorative experiences, focusing on overall well-being, socialization, and inclusion. It represents a unique opportunity for those who wish to disconnect from daily pressures and reconnect with what truly matters: health, happiness, and community.

Throughout the project, we will carry out the following activities:

  • Sea excursions.
  • Beach for EVERYONE.
  • Hiking for EVERYONE.
  • Creative nature laboratory.

The beneficiaries of the “NATURE FOR EVERYONE” project will range in age from 3 to over 99 years old and will belong to the following groups:

  • People with Parkinson’s, their families and friends.
  • People with neurological conditions (ALS, Multiple Sclerosis, paralysis, etc.), their families and friends.
  • People with any type of functional diversity, their families and friends (Autism, Down syndrome, visual, hearing, cognitive, etc.).
  • Migrants.
  • People experiencing social inclusion difficulties.
  • Older adults, their families and friends.
  • People living in Fuerteventura, the Canary Islands, Spain, and tourists.
  • Students from any educational level or institution.

All activities are personalized, adapted, and inclusive. They are carried out in small groups across different municipalities in Fuerteventura.

Registration is required, and an interview with a Psychomotricist is planned in order to tailor the activities as much as possible.

These activities are supported by the Cabildo of Fuerteventura.
