Katherine Garabo
Shiatsu and Acupuncture
Shiatsu and Traditional Chinese Medicine
A graduate of the three-year program at the Shambala Shiatsu School in Milan, founded by Douglas Gattini, she continually attends training seminars in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Katherine is a member of the Italian Shiatsu Federation and has obtained the Certificate of Competence in Shiatsu issued by the Lombardy Region. This certificate recognizes the skills acquired through the training and work program outlined in Annex “A” of the Regional Framework for Professional Standards (PRS).
She has gained extensive practical experience working with individuals suffering from complex and degenerative conditions, such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s diseases. Thanks to the Shambala school, she has also been able to participate in significant projects like the “Alzheimer’s Cafe” in the municipality of Cormano (Italy).
Convinced that the knowledge of more holistic techniques and disciplines can be a valuable tool to help people comprehensively, she has specialized in moxibustion, cupping, and foot reflexology (combined with shiatsu to unblock the lymphatic system), as well as in Japanese facial lifting massage.
