Fuerteventura, a magical island where it feels like spring all year round, will host the “United Against Parkinson” gathering from September 28th to October 4th, 2020. This event, typically held every two years, aims to bring together people living with Parkinson’s, their families, and therapists. It is a unique opportunity to connect, meet new people, share experiences, and actively engage.
This year, in collaboration with the association Fuerte Es La Vida Parkinson No Limits, participants will also have the opportunity to enjoy a holiday combining sun and sea — with mild spring-like temperatures that allow swimming and outdoor living all year long — along with nature, culture, excursions by land and sea, wellbeing, great food, and plenty of fun.
The week of meetings and activities is open to everyone living with Parkinson’s, as well as their families and friends. It doesn’t matter which association you belong to — or if you don’t belong to any — nor where you come from. This gathering is open to all.

Each participant will have the opportunity to contribute simply by being present — by sharing their story and experiences (if they wish), by listening to others, and by allowing themselves to feel and be moved.
We will experience conscious breathing in the open air, in a healthy environment where the sun and the ocean help reactivate the immune system and stimulate the natural production of dopamine, serotonin, and melatonin.
We will relax our bodies under the warmth of the sun, allowing muscles to release and soften. Guided by Sabine (homeopath and expert in Qi Gong and Shiatsu), we will rediscover fluid movement through the rhythm of captivating live music, accompanied by Francesca (daughter of a person with Parkinson’s, expert in psychomotricity and dance) and Massi (President of AIGP, the Italian Association of Young People with Parkinson’s, expert in dance and laughter yoga). We will also be nurtured and revitalized through colors and creative expression, guided by Ely, international artist and art therapist, giving life to our emotions.

Exclusive excursions will take us to discover the most magical and historic places of Fuerteventura — rich in history, art, local traditions, aromas, and flavors. We will also experience the island from a unique perspective: the ocean. Accompanied by Álvaro, a marine zoologist, we will sail through crystal-clear waters aboard a comfortable boat and encounter the ocean’s inhabitants — dolphins, whales, flying fish, and sea turtles. Seabirds will guide us through a true “Ocean’s Emotions Experience”, alongside Francesca and Ely, in a journey filled with wonder and connection.
A charming resort will welcome us with bright, comfortable rooms nestled among volcanic landscapes, offering views of lush gardens or the ocean. The cuisine, prepared by expert chefs using local products and truly organic fruits and vegetables grown in the resort’s own garden, will meet every dietary need while offering an exceptional culinary experience. Enjoy exquisite meals in great company, either on the outdoor terrace or in the spacious dining area — both overlooking the ocean.
The resort’s sports facilities, heated swimming pools, conference room, table tennis areas, spa, beach access, and the calm waters of the ocean will make this stay even more enjoyable and memorable.
Additionally, the resort is connected by a scenic seaside walkway to one of the most authentic and historic fishing villages: Las Playitas. Its white and blue houses contrast beautifully with the black volcanic rock and sandy shores, while the crystal-clear waters of its marina host colorful local fishing boats. It is not uncommon to spot sea turtles and rays swimming peacefully among schools of fish.
Places are limited, and early-bird registrations are available until July 31st.
Bookings made after this date will be subject to availability, and standard rates will apply.
Fuerte Es La Vida Parkinson No Limits and United Against Parkinson are waiting for you!
