Golpe de Igualdad is a project conceived by the Association and supported by the Government of the Canary Islands, Department of Social Welfare, Equality, Youth, Children and Families, which includes specific programs to promote equality and respect for diversity in sports in the Canary Islands. Special attention will be given to women, people with functional diversity, and the sport of boxing.
An awareness campaign, training sessions, meetings, talks, and practical boxing activities are some of the strategies planned to promote equality. It is essential to create an inclusive culture in sports as well.
The benefits of practicing non-contact boxing are many.
Among these, we highlight the following:
- releases tension and stress.
- improves physical and cardiovascular endurance, releasing a large amount of adrenaline
- strengthens bone mass, helping prevent osteoporosis and burn fat
- works the entire body, helping maintain healthy muscle mass
- increases self-esteem, improves psychophysical stability, and releases endorphins
- helps improve coordination and reflexes
- the cardiorespiratory system benefits from the combination of aerobic and anaerobic efforts
- on a mental level, it helps develop a sense of balance, concentration, and increases self-confidence
