This initiative was born with a clear and fundamental objective: to promote active aging and prevent future situations of dependency for autonomous people over 65 years of age living on the island<sup><\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Much more than just an exercise program<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"p-rc_3db9ebe1c1219775-287\">The population of the Canary Islands is facing an important demographic change and the aging of the population requires innovative responses<sup><\/sup>. The &#8220;\u00a1EN MOVIMIENTO!&#8221; project responds to this challenge by focusing on 360-degree well-being: physical, psychological, and social<sup><\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"p-rc_3db9ebe1c1219775-288\">Through a holistic and transdisciplinary approach, the project offers a rich calendar of weekly activities that go far beyond the traditional<sup><\/sup>. Throughout 2025, participants will be able to test themselves and have fun with adapted non-contact boxing sessions, psychomotricity workshops, dance, art therapy, music therapy, singing, and even creative and healthy cooking classes<sup><\/sup>. And not to forget the wonderful natural environment of <strong>Fuerteventura<\/strong>, incredible outdoor outings are planned once a month: adapted surf and SUP sessions, swimming, innovative underwater painting, and exciting catamaran excursions and hiking trails<sup><\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A refuge against isolation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"p-rc_3db9ebe1c1219775-289\">One of the pillars of &#8220;\u00a1EN MOVIMIENTO!&#8221; is the creation of a safe, inclusive, and prejudice-free space<sup><\/sup>. The project aims to counteract the apathy, nervousness, and social isolation that often affect people in their senior years<sup><\/sup>. Thanks to the support of a team of professionals, each beneficiary receives preventive and progressive care, with tailor-made activities to stimulate memory, concentration, self-esteem, and motor skills<sup><\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"p-rc_3db9ebe1c1219775-290\">Furthermore, the project pays close attention to equality and the gender perspective, making sure to break down stereotypes and offer an egalitarian environment where every participant, whether man or woman, can feel valued and stimulated<sup><\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to start 2025 in the best possible way?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are over 65, or if you have a family member who could benefit from this extraordinary project, there is no better New Year&#8217;s resolution than joining this great family.
