{"id":6626,"date":"2020-01-11T13:39:00","date_gmt":"2020-01-11T13:39:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/parkinsonnolimits.com\/encuentro-de-personas-con-parkinson-en-agaete\/"},"modified":"2026-04-08T12:08:59","modified_gmt":"2026-04-08T12:08:59","slug":"meeting-of-people-with-parkinson-in-agaete","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/parkinsonnolimits.com\/en\/meeting-of-people-with-parkinson-in-agaete\/","title":{"rendered":"Meeting of people with Parkinson&#8217;s in Agaete"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>This Saturday in <strong>Agaete<\/strong>, a meeting took place for people with <strong>Parkinson\u2019s<\/strong> and their families, organized by the associations <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yosoypepita.org\/\">PEPITA<\/a> \u2013 Platform for <strong>Early-Onset Parkinson\u2019s Patients<\/strong> and Friends <em><strong>(Gran Canaria and Tenerife)<\/strong><\/em>, Fuerte es la Vida Parkinson No Limits <em><strong>(Fuerteventura)<\/strong><\/em>, and the Parkinson\u2019s Association <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pg\/parkinsonlaspalmas\/posts\/\">Siglo XXII<\/a> <em><strong>(Gran Canaria)<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On behalf of the <strong>Fuerteventura-based association<\/strong>, two specialized workshops were delivered:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Psychomotricity, led by Francesca De Bartolomeis, and Qi Gong, led by Sabine Tukovits Fischer. These activities were originally planned to take place on the <strong>beach<\/strong>, but due to wind and temperature conditions, they were moved to an indoor facility kindly provided by the Sports Department of the Agaete Town Hall.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PEPITA, for its part, delivered workshops in Mindfulness, led by Enrique Dom\u00ednguez Hortelano, and Tai Chi, led by Daniel Miranda.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"725\" height=\"439\" src=\"https:\/\/parkinsonnolimits.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/parkison-canarias.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4906\" srcset=\"https:\/\/parkinsonnolimits.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/parkison-canarias.webp 725w, https:\/\/parkinsonnolimits.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/parkison-canarias-300x182.webp 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 725px) 100vw, 725px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>The meeting, attended by numerous families from the Canary Islands, concluded with a lunch accompanied by music and karaoke.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>three associations would like to thank<\/strong> everyone who took part in this gathering, rich in meaningful experiences and valuable insights that people with <strong>Parkinson\u2019s and their families<\/strong> can continue to practice at home, bringing benefits to their daily lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The restaurant El C\u00e1pita and the company Suepro also took part in the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the spring of this newly begun year, we look forward to welcoming in <strong>Fuerteventura<\/strong> the entire human and professional team that makes up the <strong>Great Parkinson Family of the Canary Islands<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"725\" height=\"353\" src=\"https:\/\/parkinsonnolimits.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/parkison-las-palmas.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4907\" srcset=\"https:\/\/parkinsonnolimits.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/parkison-las-palmas.webp 725w, https:\/\/parkinsonnolimits.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/parkison-las-palmas-300x146.webp 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 725px) 100vw, 725px\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This Saturday in Agaete, a meeting took place for people with Parkinson\u2019s and their families, organized by the associations PEPITA \u2013 Platform for Early-Onset Parkinson\u2019s Patients and Friends (Gran Canaria and Tenerife), Fuerte es la Vida Parkinson No Limits (Fuerteventura), and the Parkinson\u2019s Association Siglo XXII (Gran Canaria).
